Customer’s Dilemma and Target

Amadeus operates one of the world's most extensive electronic marketplaces. It enables travel agents and travel service providers to market and sell travel, to corporate and consumer end-users, in over 210* markets around the world. (www.amadeus.com)

In Argentina, to reduce the cost to interconnect agents and travel service providers to Amadeus system, they decided replace dedicated link based on Frame Relay for VPN through broadband internet access like ADSL.

At the beginning, it bought Cisco VPN BroadBand Routers to install in the agents around the country.
After a short period of time, Cisco Routers became in an expensive solution for them.

　

Micronet Solution

After receiving the requirement of Amadeus through Wireless Solution, one important Network Integrator in Argentina, our regional sales office took action and prepare for them a solution based on our SP880 DSL/Cable VPN Router.

Amadeus was testing the SP880 during some days and they found that our Router has good features and performance with best price.

Up to now, Amadeus has in Argentina more than 150 agents and travel service providers through an IPSEC connection with our SP880 and SP880A.
