Founded in 1996,
MaxEmil Photonics Corp. started as an optical design company,
offering optical system design and consulting service. In order to
serve the customers from design to manufacturing, in 2000, MaxEmil
set up a lens factory to produce plastic lens in Taiwan and China.

 Because
the international telephone expense among the head office in Taipei
and factories distributed in different cities was tremendous,
MaxEmil utilized VoIP technology in 2004 and successfully cut the
telephone bill to zero. As the business scale grows and the demand
on voice communications increases, MaxEmil found it necessary to
expand the capacity of VoIP network.

Solution
In 2004, MaxEmil deployed Micronet
SP5004 VoIP Gateway to facilitate the voice communications among
offices in Taipei, Taichung, Suzhou and Shenzhen. One SP5004 can
host up to 4 telephone sets. As the business grows, greater capacity
of VoIP network is demanded. Now, MaxEmil decides to deploy more
SP5004 VoIP Gateways to provide additional voice channels.
