    Digital Signage is the new platform for media presentation and has being adopted by various industries. It incorporates video, image, audio and scrollable text on a single HD LCD display to present to viewers a multimedia experience. Displays will be sliced into several partitions to accompany multiple media sources. It serves many purposes: enterprise internal & external services, public information & guidance and advertising media business.

  • What are the major types of Digital Signage Solution?
    The common two types are network-based and solo-based digital signage solution. Network digital signage player can be controlled and maintained using Ethernet network. On the other hand, solo digital signage can only control single device through USB update and maintenance.

  • What happens when SP966´s partitions overlap?
    It is not recommended why designing display layout to allow overlap between partitions. The player will automatically update images every 10 seconds and this will cause lag when multiple images try to update at the same time.

  • Is it possible to update program using USB drive on SP966?
    A utility is available for user to upload program using USB drive. By copying the file on to the server PC, when executing the utility, it will automatically detect any programs you have created and upload it into the USB drive.

  • How to format SP966’s internal hard drive?
    Copy the config.dat file into a USB drive (preferably a empty USB drive). Attach to USB port of player then reboot. The display will show that is copy files and may take some times since it formatting the whole hard drive (the front LED will remain RED when formatting). Once done, your display will freeze on the IP details page since no program is available (this would mean format was successful).
    (Note: Ask the Micronet’s Technical support for the config.dat file.)
