Top Does SP760 support Novell NDPS mode? SP760 doesn´t directly support Novell NDPS mode. But it support Novell Netware Server NDPS Gateway -- TCP/IP LPR printing mode. This mean User must setup/install NDPS gateway on NetWare Server, then setup its TCP/IP LPR printing mode to PS-03 IP address. Then User Client print to NetWare server NDPS, NetWare server will forward to PS-03 through TCP/IP LPR protocol.
Top Does SP760 support IPX/SPX protocol? There are two version of firmware for SP760, one supports TCP/IP and web-based management utility, the other supports TCP/IP and IPX/SPX protocols. Currently, our shipping goods are within the former firmware. We also post the later firmware on our web site. You can download the file and change the firmware when your network uses IPX/SPX protocol.

Top Top Top How to select a suitable print server to share printer on my network? Depends on the printer interface and the location of printers (spread or centralized in a specified space). Micronet print server series provides two interfaces, USB and parallel, and one and three ports design. Top Top Top Top Top Top Top I’ve installed my printer and print server. When I execute print the test page it gets a random text. Why? Some printers have to install on the computer directly before redirect to print server. If not, it will get random text print. So, please connect printer to your computer first. In Windows systems, go to “Add a New Printer” to add the printer. The operating system will detect a new printer and ask the driver. Assign the driver folder to install the printer. After that print the test page to verify the printer has been installed properly. Then change the printer connection to print server and use PS-wizard to redirect the printer to a proper printer port on the print server. Print the test page to verify it.

Top Does Micronet print server support GDI printer? Yes. Micronet SP753, SP763, SP771 and SP772 support GDI printer from firmware version 3.22 (for SP753 and SP763) and 3.25 (for SP771 and SP772). It still need a software program for help. Please get the software program from the Download Center. Key in the model of your printer to enter the page of the specified model. Download the GDI Driver and execute it after the print server has been configured properly then it can work fine.

Top How to enable IPX/SPX protocol on Windows XP computer? Windows XP system does not enable IPX/SPX protocol in default. Users have to install the protocol under "Network Connection". In addition, the NetBEUI protocol has to be installed as well. The installing process is the same as IPX/SPX. The computer can communicate with other computer by IPS/XPS after the two protocols are ready on the computer.
